Hey Girl Hey! I’ve never really subscribed to the whole notion that Valentine’s Day was just for the ladies. I’ve always been a firm believer that if you have a good man that’s constantly showing you just how much you mean to him, why not return the favor…ESPECIALLY during the month of love?! After all, who doesn’t like to receive a little something every now and again to remind them just how special they are to the one they love?
So this Valentine’s Day I’ve decided to surprise the Husbae with seven days of love notes with a twist! Since we’ll be spending very little one on one time together this month with both of us traveling for work and other obligatory travels, I thought sending him periodic “love notes” would be a cute way for us to stay connected during those times when we’re apart. So what that means is that he won’t receive a love note every day for seven consecutive days, rather he’ll receive them randomly over the next few days leading up to Valentines Day.
I’m an everything must have a theme type of girl so of course, I jumped on the internet for inspiration, and wah-lah, poWERS of loVE 2019: Valentine’s Hip Hop Edition was born! I was NOT disappointed when I happened upon the dopest hip hop inspired greeting cards on Etsy to help me pull my theme together! I immediately took advantage of the Valentines Day card deal currently being offered by Holla Back Cards on Etsy. Isn’t this Rihanna card just the cutest?!

Men love food and I love gift cards..because they’re easy to obtain and can be gifted to anyone no matter the level of the relationship. So you can never go wrong with gifting a $10, $15$, $20 gift card to a restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You could even break them down into $5 dollar increments to be given over the course of several days. For example, today he would receive a $5 Subway gift card, and tomorrow you may gift him a $5 Starbucks gift card. If they’re techy or into games an Amazon gift card could also do the trick. If he has a favorite brand of socks, or t-shirts, lotion, lip balms, or drink you can gift those types of things as well. For me, the idea is to express to the person that they’re appreciated without breaking the bank. Also, taking into consideration the level of the relationship, you never want to do wifey things for a boyfriend (or potential boo). Keep it simple, but keep it cute! Hope this helps!
